Project RetreatNovember 13-14, 2003 - The NASA/USGS invasive species project will hold a local retreat at the Patuxent Wildlife Refuge Visitor's Center in Laurel, Maryland to welcome new members to the team and lay out plans for the coming year. AttendeesGuests are expected to include colleagues from the USGS Fort Collins Science Center, National Institute of Invasive Species Science, Colorado State University, Natural Resources Ecology Lab, NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, and USGS and NASA Headquarters. OutcomesDuring this retreat we plan to review our progress on the invasive species application, meet new members of the project team, formally launch the REASoN / Invasive Species Data Service component of the project, lay out the high-level project calendar for 2004, and further refine our plans for tackling the tamarisk and Canada thistle "Big Problem" challenge.
